Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
